WANTED - 320d M Sport

Looking to buy a 320d M Sport. Got rid of my e92 after the snow we had last winter but I need another BMW!

Another Coupe would be lovely but I have a dog now and getting him in the back wont be ideal and I'm on a budget so it's looking like:

320d Saloon.
M Sport
No older than 2007
Full Service History
Mileage under 80k ideally
Must be in superb condition in and out and well looked after.

Anyone got anything that fits the bill?

Budget is flexible depending on the car.

Flexible but not that flexible.

Probably half that price.

My car will be in the BCA Nottingham auction soon, could end up being a bargain.

Mine has 71k on the clock and is quite highly modified cosmetically and with the audio system. It could be sold in any state of tune between where it is now (Link: http://forum.evotechnik.net/album.php?albumid=1.. although the front end now looks different. Link 2: http://forum.evotechnik.net/showthread.php?t=36242 ) and standard.

Standard I want 9,995. Modified 100% as is I'd want £13,000 for everything except the alloys which I'm keeping (Which would represent over 10k of gear for 3k) and depending on what stays or goes: The price could be adjusted accordingly.

Food for thought?

Looks very nice mate, but explaining all those mods to the insurance company would be too much hassle and taking it back to standard doesnt seem like the right thing to do mate.

Hah. I agree about putting it back standard. Unfortunately I feel I might have to as no one wants the modified car. Everyone tells me how nice they think it looks but don't want to take it on.

FWIW you have no need to declare the stereo, the risk is that if it's stolen they'll only replace with standard. I'd be putting the standard alloys back on. As such the only mods to declare would be the non-BMW ones.. which are the remap, and the two rear spoilers and the front lip spoiler. Everything else is a BMW part so not technically a modification Grey area and fine line of course

There are a few on Auto Trader around the £10k mark. But all high mileage. What's the general opinion on these cars with more than 100k miles on the clock?

I think their are a lot of reports of failed turbos, do a search as I think it's specific turbos only.

Look on Pistonhead classifieds also.

After the manufacturers warranty runs out owners get offered the chance to extend the warranty for about £400/ year. It costs more if you get a car that does not have it already and you decide that you want it. I've heard figures like double the cost mentioned. It also goes up after the car gets to 60,000 miles I believe. The good news is that it appears to be a very good warranty.

Sorry is that what you mean or do you want me to expand on my own paranoia.

The flip side is that my car has done 128k and is still running fine without n e problems and without n e warranty. (its a 55 plate 320d).

I guess what im saying is that yes ppl have had problems and if they do its a PITA but I would say most ppl dont have problems.

Its because you only hear about the problems that ppl get scared!
