HELP!!!

So i just got a 335i and the other day i was went full throttle on the car and in 3rd gear around 6500 rpms a yellow check engine light came one but when i turned it of the light went away,so i tried it again full throttle and it came back on!!! I took it to the shop but what does it mean????

The 335 has a lot of problems with kinked turbo hoses. Don't know if that is what is wrong with yours. When mine had a problem, I got the "Engine Malfunction, you are running at reduced power" message.

the only thing that came up was the half yellow engine light

Mine has never come up with the engine light, so I don't know. See what the shop tells ya.

Could also be a boost leak somewhere.

when mine had the same issue, they replaced some VANOS sensors to fix it. If you do a search, you'll find my post with all the info (it's in this forum section) and symptoms that I had. Depending on your situation, could be the same thing, but most people default with HPFP.

He didnt really tell.me the code but he saids something about the turbo is not getting enough pressureor losing pressure

Sounds like a wastegate issue.

I wouldn't be too worried, you can adjust the wategate actuator pretty easily.

well they havent figured it out yet so can i adjust the wastegate my self??

If the high pressure fuel system is setting a fault (like a failed hpfp), the wastegates are held open so no boost can build up, therefore the engine wont go too lean. Probably something in the high pressure system due to being at higher rpm's

I smell boost leak somewhere.. might be wastegate, maybe blew off a boot or pipe somewhere down the line. happens to my friend all the time

Well I got it from Toyota of plano and they took it to some BMW shop don't really know where
