Yes it is a bargain for someone considering the remaining 2 years+ warranty remaining. Perhaps I've priced it too low!

Only in the Apple world can a two year old laptop for £950 be considered a bargain.

Apple laptops have a very long working life, and cost £££ to buy. My previous Apple laptop (Pismo G3) cost £1700 back in Septemeber 2000, sold if for £370 in April 2008 (on eBay sold as faulty) after a problem with screen finally killed it.

My current laptop is a 2008 MacBook Pro, bought in April 2008, and still going strong (runs everything from FinalCut Pro to Office 2012 with no problems). Going to stick a SSD in it soon...still not sure it will last as long as my previous laptop

Yeah I know, I'm not a Apple hater, the comment was fairly tongue in cheek tbh. they do make some decent kit which seems to run and run. They are seriously overpriced though to begin with IMO. You could buy a very serious bit of Windows kit (i7, 2GB graphics etc) for £950 brand new. Still I guess the Macbooks do seem to retain value as amply demontrated by this thread and of course for die in the wool Apple fans, their is no substitute (just ask my missus)

Apple second hand market is rampant. Ironically, not in this case if it has taken a while to sell.

Anyone sitting on the fence, this is a great laptop. They do have a very long working life. You could quite easily get through 2, possibly even 3 budget to mid range dell laptops for 1 macbook.

All the macs ive had tend to work as well 2 years down the line as they did on day 1.

It is a fantastic machine and they do retain their value - just have a look on ebay! I have added an Intel X-25m 160gb SSD hard drive and the difference is amazing - literally around 10 seconds max to boot up and everything loads up instantly. This can be left with the laptop at additional (but reasonable) cost as they are very expensive to buy.

Its in immaculate condition and will be a great buy to anyone wanting to get into the apple market at a reasonable price, with the added security of around 15 months extended warranty remaining. Lots of pics available to show its true condition upon request.
