335d experimenting new mods

well i just installed my JBD today (set at 80%) and will be experimenting water injection( would like a kit with an electro-magnetic pump like Aquamist use to have) and adding a better aftermarket front mount intercooler and piping.
any suggestion would be appreciated since i dont know yet if 335i i/c would fit with little mod.
I have looked into 2 brand of water injection kit : cooling mist or Aquamist

My goal is to hit 400hp from my diesel engine while keeping a strong reliability by only cooling intake charges and better flowing

Do you think the stock engine does not generate enough compression?

water injection will allow higher boost pressures being run without detonation and high pressures.....increases torque. It’s all about torque

Do you think our transmission can handle more torque than a JBD @ 100% (this is what I have mine set at) plus other mods?

I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone has hit 400hp on the diesel. You are going to need the gas version for that.

The transmission is design to take over 540lbs of torque ! If u take good care of her without brake boost... Everything should be fine. This tranny if I'm correct comes from a v8 or v12 I don't remember to support higher torque numbers

Uh. Im pretty sure JBD @ 100% is within a single digit (ft-lbs) of the tranny torque limit. Good luck!

540 lbs is not the limit! It's a number that the tranny can hold before having a risk of failure! We are far from a tranny break down on the "D"

Our cars have the ZF 6HP28 transmission, which is rated at 700Nm, or 516 ft/lbs. of torque. So we do have some room to go upwards from the factory rating of 425 ft./lbs., but do be careful!

Dont think you see close to 400hp with w/m injection, FIC, and JBD...

need exhaust upgrades, further tuning, etc
