H&R Springs install cost estimate

thinking about doing the H&R 1.2" springs on my 2011 X6. Springs are very reasonable priced at $230 approx. But my installer quoted $750-800 install and 6-7 hours installation time, for a total of nearly $1000 installed. Does that seem correct?
Also on my 2011 with Sport package, adaptive drive, do I need the springs with self leveling? I tried searching but didn't see the definite answer.
thanks

Key Word 'Adaptive Drive'. You need the ones that are 'self leveling' If you didn't have Adaptive Drive, you would get the ones without 'self leveling'

6-7 hours? Damn, not sure what to tell you, that seems rather high... But IDK...

We charge approximately about $400.00 for springs install on the E70/E71. But then again we've been told our rates are a bit low.

i have a 2010 35i with sport package and adaptive drive with the H&R springs, i paid $300 to have them installed here in Hawaii. Self leveling is the airbag type suspension like the Range Rovers and so on. My drop did not affect the adaptive drive, if that is the answer you are looking for. hope that helps

Do the new lower springs change the ride quality? Im sure it handles better on turns but what about straight line driving?
