Houston dealerships

What dealership do you use? I've been going to Midtown BMW and am kind of pissed off at my SA.

So I took my car in to the dealership on Thursday at about 11am for the Engine Malfunction, Car is running on low power and told them that I would be out of town for the weekend but to let me know how things were going. I called on Friday night just after 5pm and got his VM. I got back into town on Sunday and had class on Monday morning and after class I called again and got his VM. He called back within about 20 minutes and said my car was ready. So I went to pick it up and he kind of shunned me and after having me sign the papers, walked away and locked his door. I waited for my car and he came back by and said "they should be pulling it around in a minute" and walked back into his office and shut the door. When I looked at the receipt, it said the car had been ready since Friday at about 9am. I am a little miffed that he can't communicate by calling me and letting me know that my car is done. I already had made plans for a friend of mine to pick up the car over the weekend if it got done.

Any suggestions????

I absolutely hate dealing with BMW dealers in general. Somehow they always make me feel like they are doing ME a favor by servicing my car or even selling me a car. In fact I had a salesman from BMW midtown laughed at me and said ' What makes you so special that we should give you discount when there's 30 other people in line that would buy for msrp.' I went to BMW west the following week and purchased a 335i for the price I asked for. Not saying BMW west is a good dealer, but the salesman I dealt with was very nice.

I had my BMW serviced in midtown before and they were OK. I forgot my SA's name but if you don't like yours than maybe ask for another one next time. I think it's just depends on the person.

Try BMW of Houston North, either in Spring or The Woodlands. I had good service/relationship with them for 6 years, never once had any sort of problems. I have now been using BMW of Austin for 4 years and am also delighted with their sales and service - they even give BMWCCA members a 20% discount on parts and labor. It works both ways...if you treat them with respect, they'll do the same for you. If they diss you, then take your business elsewhere.

I went to bmw of houston north on 45 and 1960 when i first bought my bmw to get it serviced and the first thing the SA's did was ask me where my dad was. I explained to them that i wasnt 15 years old and they still refused to help despite the fact that i am the only person financing my vehicle (im 21 fyi). I ended up going to bmw of the woodlands and i had great service. Go see Carla Waddel, she is the best. Everytime i go there she takes great care of me and goes above and beyond.

Thanks everyone for their help. I will probably ask for a new SA next time I go back and if that does not work, then I will go to another dealership. I just get frustrated when customer service goes in the trash.

Carla was my SA at BMW of the Woodlands...she was indeed great to work with. I used their Spring dealership until the Woodlands dealership opened, which was 5 minutes from my house, and I like the Woodlands location better, even though they're the same organization.

As far as the sales department goes....every single dealership in H-town sucks. I have bought BMW's in past decade from almost each one of them. None of them were really good.

One comes on here or bimmerfest and you find so many nice BMW sales persons that are willing to give you great deals online or help you. But they all are out of town.

If you have to trade in a car you are just stuck dealing with H-town sucky dealers. As far as service goes. I have had good experience with my SA at Momentum West.

Who was your SA? You could always give him a bad review. Anything but 10s and he'll get in trouble.

How do you give them a review?

I think Momentum West is the best, Momentum SW is okay. Advantage can go fuck themselves. Can't comment on North since that's way the hell out there.

I have been to everyone except advantage, and they are all horrible. Momentum overcharges any repair work and BMW North forgot about my car for 2 days, and forgot about my appointment the next time.
