Yup, just south of Austin.. I'll call him tomorrow and ask about price and when he could do it.. I can't speak for him as far as how long it would take but I cant see it taking all day.. If I cant get a hold of him tomorrow, I live in San Antonio as well but work in Austin next week.. I'll be up there on Monday and can stop by if anything..

Cool thanx man. I would be ok with a lot of places doing anything other than installing coilovers. That's the one thing that I want someone with experience with it..especially with this car...

Is it really that easy? I was thinking about it...I've never done any suspension components. I have two problems though...I don't think I have all the tools and 2. I work night shift so I would have to do it during the day...probably at the hobby shop..and that ain't happening...I have to sleep.
2V4now....BTW, I don't have the coils yet...so it would probably be week after next before I'd be ready.. I wish I at least had someone to help me do it myself....but I just got here and haven't met anyone that could do it yet...

Yeah, coils are super easy. Did my own a couple years back, be sure to get an alignment done immediately afterwards.

I might be ordering tomorrow...don't know if the vendor will respond this weekend...
Loner...you live in San Anton? Maybe you could give me a rundown on what I would need? Even though I assume there's a DIY on here. Guess I could go look at that. I've read so many nightmares on this where shops didn't tighten something right/etc...that's on reason I don't know if I want to do it myself....among others...finding the time is the big one..

My new coils shipped out yesterday...so I will have them maybe by Friday or early next week at the latest. If you can get an appointment and a quote I would greatly appreciate it.
Things I would like you to find out for me if you don't mind... I am supposed to get the coils in on the 20th. So if you can ask them if they can get me in on the 21st or 22nd or 25th? That's Thurs, Fri and Monday respectively. If they're open on the weekend, then the 23rd would be ok too. I will just have to take leave and come up there and stay in a hotel all day or something. Can they do it on a Saturday? Will they do an allignment for me after? Do they do fender rolling? I'd love to get mine done....

Hey 2V4NOW, I called yesterday and they told me to talk to Brian. Should I go ahead and E-mail him or shoud I wait for you?
If you do talk to him, can you ask what he'll charge me to put these coilovers on?

I'm gonna try to at least stop by. I just finished putting my JB4 in a couple minutes ago. Got it back after sending in my JB3....
This track is on I-10, right? Which side heading East? And about how far from the 1604 Exit?

I'm definately going to take out my back seat for this party. I'm thinking about taking out my passenger seat too.
I'm going to scour the earth Monday for the right sparkplug socket so I can change my plugs. I bet that I'll pick up some ponies by switching out my 60k mile stockers. Weight reduction, new plugs and race gas = keeping up with FBO cars |
