Replacement Door Cappings

Bit of an odd one, I only noticed this yesterday, but both my door cappings (the silver metal trims) have dimples on them? Looks like they've been hit with what I can only assume are big rings, or bags etc.

Can I get replacement ones and are they easy enough to fit? Not overly bothered, but now I know they're there, I'm concious of them and I think they're a bit scruffy.

Easy to fit but eye-wateringly expensive. Ebay is probably your friend here.

I found the same when I bought mine, I was told it was from people's jewelery, or keys when getting out the car.

I'm going to get mine wrapped in CF to hide them, eventually.

on the E92 the seat belts are a bitch for hitting the metal trim and dinking it.

i have many on both doors thanks mostly to the GF.

That's exactly what cause the damage - the seat belt retracts quickly when you release the buckle and dings the door as it does so.

The door trims, you may have black, walnut, aluminium etc.

They are the same colour as whatever centre console you have, dash etc.

How the fack do you scuff your door cappings with your she? Its the long trim that runs the length of the door in this photo?! Seat belt dinks make perfect sense actually.
