PPI recommendations (DFW)
Hey guys,
I'm thinking to upgrade to e92 335i and found '07 in great condition (private party) in Flower Mound. Low miles, 6 speed, passed carfax and autocheck. Any suggestions as to where to take the car for PPI in the DFW area?? The obvious choice would be stealership but how about any reputable, trust-worthy independent shops?? Also, how much does PPI run? Usually around $200 am I right? Thanks |

Good shops for PPI:
RUF Auto Centre in Addison AUtoscope in DFW Maybe Eurosport in Plano Not sure on PPI pricing but simple google on the above and a phone call will yield you results your looking for. Smart buyer for doing your research and not just jumping into anything. Good luck. If I can be of any help pls pm me. Tomato

Hey buddy no problem that's what forums are for...To help one another.
I contacted one of the guys from AUtoscope as soon as I hear from him I'll pass along the info to you. FYI don't rely 100% on CarFax/Carcheck for all incident info. If anything happens to a car while dealer owns it, they don't file claim just fix and pass along to unsuspecting buyer. Learned this from Experience thanks to DFW Audi. Visually inspect along the side of fenders once you open up hood and trunk. Feel paint surface etc. Also check to see how many HPFP fails and or replacements done to the car. Others please correct me here but 07 models one of the bad years for HPFP fails correct?? Tomato

The current owner seems pretty honest; he's selling to get new M3. The 335 had hpfp replaced and remap done in January of this year. Waiting to see how the PPI turns out to make a final call. |

Had to cancel the PPI appointment. When I told the seller that the process takes 4-5hrs he said he doesn't have that much time available on Thursday. It was a rather short notice so I can understand it.
With that said, he suggested to reschedule for next week. I have plenty of time and there's no shortage of nice cars out there so I'll take it one step at a time. Thank you for your suggestions. |

How about Ultimate Bimmer Service in Dallas? Guys on e46fanatics have great comments on it.
