2007 320d Flat Spot
Recently purchased a 320d that as apparently been remapped (not sure if this is good or bad)
It as a flat spot noticible in 2nd and 3rd anywhere between 1.5 to 2.5 revs only for a split second then its fine when it gets past it. Any ideas please? |

Could be a few things. Most likely the MAF sensor. Air filter doesn't help either (And mapped car would need the air filter replaced sooner than non mapped).
Other possible cause is EGR thermostat or the turbo actuator. The latter is the only particularly expensive cause. I'm going through the exact same thing right now. Just had all 4 glow plugs replaced which didn't help (under warranty fortunately) but BMW won't replace the MAF so I'm looking into ordering one of those myself now and getting it fitted along with a new air filter..

I didnt think there was an actuator on these cars chap.....
Certainly wasnt on ours which was a 2005 one. Seems to all be done by the VNT system and electronics Though, the VNT system is supposed to stick occasionally. J |
