Are genuine ones actually tinted glass (if such a thing exists) or just film like anyone else will fit for you? I'm considering getting it done on mine.

It was ordered directly from BMW tinted and not tinted by someone on behalf of the dealer. Any aftermarked windows I've seen, you can see the film is not 100% around the screen where you get all the little raised black circles. It's not that noticeable but you can see it's a film. You don't get that with genuine BMW windows, so not sure if the glass is coloured or the film put on better. |

I had factory tints and they looked great. I think the glass is tinted rather than a shitty film.

Agreed; the windows are indeed tinted and not filmed from the factory.

I have a full set of dealer tinted windows sitting here (make me an offer ), and also one spare side quarter window which incidentily has a scratch on it, it is indeed a film put over a piece of glass! but probably better fitted than joe fae TNT Dynamite Tint's!

Infact, I lie....now that I got up off my arse and inspected said scratch, it's actually the glass that's scratched and there is no film over it! mybaaad.

Thanks DavS1 but Scotland is far too far, i would not be happy getting them delivered by some pleb in a van hooning it around with the boxes tumbling, i would want to pick them up myself. Hope you get them sold though.

No bother mate, I can fully understand that! I wouldn't be too happy sending them to be fair for that very reason

Upto seller to pack adequately. Then insured as part of deal.

I would pack them adequately obviously, but as per advert I could arrange delivery at buyers risk...and it would also be the price of the windows plus any delivery charges on top, i'd say the windows were cheap enough already without me paying postage too!

Of course, and also get buyer to pay for the insurance.
I bet it costs no more than 30-40 quid to send insured. Then everyone is happy and covered.
