Kerbed alloy

Well it's happened at last, kerbed the nearside rear alloy on a tight roundabout.

Although it's quite small it's the only mark on any of the alloys so would quite like it repaired.

Anyone know roughly how much it'll cost?

I feel for you I scuffed one of my 313M's about a month ago. Only as small scuff but I keep looking at it whenever I go to the car. I bet no one notices it but me ...

I would expect £50-75 to repair as a guess. It shouldn't be a problem and will come up as new. It is only a light scuff but you may as well get it done.

My 313M's are, sadly, not easy to refurb and have to be sent away ... so mine is going to have to wait. I think yours can be done via the 'normal' process so should be easier.

I can't help with anyone near you as I'm a bit far away in Surrey ....

God, you should see my nice CSl reps since the wife's 'baby brain' kicked in.
Shes trashed F&R now so im leaving then until one day I sell them.

So let me know how you get on, I would think that could be smart repaired pretty easily James.
Why not ask Mike on the parts desk in Westerly who they are using?

Bit old to be drifing around Cornhill aren't you?

That's why you should never let the other half drive your pride and joy!!

Yeah that's worth a go. Emailed a few places earlier, hopefully it'll be around £50. I reckon that it wouldn't be too difficult to fix myself, just the time and the hassle really.

Oh I dunno, some of my mates give it a go in their CTR's and GTI's!
Didn't happen too far from there either....

Getting the alloy fixed next Tuesday

Had a quote from a Chipsaway guy for £90 and one from a local independent on recommendation for £50.

He's going to drop me into work and collect me at the end of the day too.

Think I've got a decent price there. Will take photos after it's sorted.

Nice one, let us know how it goes.

£90 - what a joker. Its less than that at Lepsons for X-ray,strip and powder!
