bumper dent
my bumper picked up some damage a few weeks ago
I've searched the forums and read of how body shops can heat up the bumper, work back to the correct shape, sand down, respray.. would this kind of fix be possible with mine, or is the damage too fierce? i don't imagine it is but just looking for advice, don't really want to spend more than £200 to get this fixed. Just thought i would ask on here before I go a local place for a quote later on.. |

Really hard to see clearly the extent - think you'll have to go get an expert opinion up close. Haven't heard about plastic manipulation in that way and I would think the dent is a bit too much to be reshaped properly

On another forum a member had a similar but much larger problem, he took the bumper off, and poured boiling water in to it which softened the plastic and allowed it to be shaped - might be an idea if you want to have a go yourself?
Not sure where you are, but I can recommend an excellent bodyshop which is reasonable and better than main dealer quality in the midlands area |
