Knocking noises from rear

Hi guys,

I've noticed that my E92 makes a knocking noise at the back when you brake. I can hear the squishing noises of a liquid after too but only when brake quite sharply (like the fuel in the fuel tank - which I think is normal).

I have a similar noise on my E87 but this is only when the car's fuel tank is half full and its actually the float in the tank knocking, thus normal.

I filled up the fuel tank yesterday to see if it is the same but it still makes this noise. Does anyone else have this and can they confirm if they found a solution or is it normal?

Rear subframe bushes or lower bottom ball joints ?!

Hmmm, I wouldn't have thought it would be something like that on a car that's just covered 6,000 miles. Would have thought they're pretty long life components?

Heard back from my dealer on this and they are saying its normal. Apparently its common on all 3 Series (mainly the 4 pot and 6 pot diesels) and is just normal fuel tank noise and there is no problem with this.

Anyone else got this noise that can confirm this or is the dealer fibbing?
