Anyone in Austin done the Shadowline vinyl?

Or do any shops do it... my chrome trim is really bugging me since I put this 20% tint on. I'd like to get gloss black but at $1,000 for the trim pieces, no thanks. I looked at the vinyl "tape" and while a little cheesy, it's probably the best solution. However I have tried doing stuff like this before and I just don't have the patience - I already know how it'll turn out if I try!

So I'm wondering if anyone here has done it before or can recommend a shop that does it? I don't mind paying.

Brushed-finish aluminum here...matches my interior trim. I like it.

I may just have to get used to mine... and you're right it is brushed aluminum, not chrome.

The shadowline can be tricky but its well worth it. Also one thing to note, is when you first apply it you may have a few little air bubbles and wrinkles you cant work out, but they flatten out beautifully in the sun and mold to the chrome trim. Great mod for the money

I'm in route to Killeen and have some exp with wrapping. Hit me up with a pm and we may be able to work something out. I also have another solution for you that IMO looks a lot better. I should be in Killeen this weekend.

I'm curious as to what this other solution is and what it entails

Taking off trim and plasti dipping. Too easy. And a lot cleaner.

Ahh yeah I think I read about that on these forums before. Probably alot more durable too, eh? Does it come out looking rubbery, though?

The real way is dropping almost $700 at the dealer for real shadow line trim. Plasti-dip and vinal wrapping are just two ways to do it without paying stealership prices.

Looks more durable but then again I wouldn't know. I got vinyl on mine. The vinyl can scratch easy but then again is easy to fix. Rip a small piece of vinyl off and put over the rip. I guess it depends on your point of view.

This is true. Not only that But I'm the kind of guy that gets my rocks off on modding my car myself. A sense of accomplishment IMO.
