Good paint shops in Austin?

Thinking of getting the M3 rep bumper and side skirts, wondering what shops are known for good color matching and install?

Berli's in Pflugerville is the shop that BMW of Austin recommends for bodywork that meets BMW standards. I've had some work done there and they're probably the best I've ever seen, but they're a little on the expensive side. Another poster on here recommends Austin Vee-Dub, which is on the South side of town, but they apparently do good work as well.

Cool. I'm familiar with Berli's so that sounds good. Thanks.

I had great experience with Master's Autocraft in Pflugerville.

Yep, Veedub is my recommendation. They matched my Aero lip and M3 lip perfectly. A guy dinged my door pretty bad a few weeks ago, and they matched that perfectly as well.

All for a very good price.

Ken - where exactly IS Austin Vee-Dub? I've got an aero front lip in raw, black plastic that I'd like to get primered/painted and installed. I'm out in E. Round Rock near 45/130 and don't want to have to go too far to get this done.

Brey - what items did you have done by Master's? Is your car jet black or the "metallic" black? Mine is Sparkling Graphite, and it's not easy to match.

Mine is Jet Black. I was in an accident. They replaced and painted my rear quarter panels, bumper, diffuser, trunk, trunk lid, and hood. No problems here

Berli's was hesitant to work with aftermarket parts - but finally agreed to give a quote to paint them but not install, and the painting alone would be $1000 for
M3 rep bumper and side skirts

I might give Master's Autocraft a call. Vee-dub sounds great but they are way down by the airport and I live up north at Parmer & McNeil.

Yeah, that was my experience when I took my unpainted front lip spoiler to them (quoted me $850 for painting/installing, stating that it required removing and replacing the front bumper cover) , but they had previously painted and installed my trunk lip spoiler (also a reproduction) for about $240. My BMW SA told me to check with a guy named Chad at Berli's, and I've not done that yet. Don't understand their hesitation on aftermarket parts all of a sudden.

I may look at Master's then...it's a 30-minute ride to the airport for me. Thanks for the updates, guys!
