baby in shop..
So got my baby back at Classic again for the brakes saying they need to be replaced. Took it in under a 're-check' since I had the prob before my factory warranty ran out. Last time they said it was like 396k miles overdue... this time my CA is saying he's seen 3-4 more cars with the exact same mileage since he saw mine... wondering if this is a bigger issue?
Anyone heard of this? So now I'm in a 328... god it's slow, but I love how everything is just... tighter, since it's new. For instance, the signal stalk is like CLICK when I use it, instead of it feeling spongy. I'm sure that'll get annoying fast though. At least they got me into a Bimmer this time instead of that shoddy HHR!

Aw man but the HHR!!!
Haven't heard of the issue before. And yeah, the 328 feels like the v2 mapping on my Cobb. Mash pedal down..wait for it...wait for it...

So you're not a fan of the v2 mapping? It's great for the track, but I think the standard delivers more punch...

Nice. Yeah I usually wanna get it fixed up asap, but this time I let them schedule it out so I could get a loaner. I just pray they don't come back and say that whatever the cause is is somehow not covered... I think that having the issue occur/addressed before the warranty expired and then it return a few weeks later should have me covered. Would be nice to get new brakes outta it though... Min? help me out brotha!

*UPDATE* Finally got my baby back today... one week in a 328 is too long! They ended up replacing the DSC module and two of the brake wear sensors... now I have an obnoxious screeching while applying the brakes. Depending on what my SA says, and if he wants to honor the factory maintenance warranty (now expired but issue started while it was in effect), I may or may not be making out to the meet tonite.
**Spoke to my SA, he's saying in the rusting on the rotors from the car sitting for a week with all this rain. makes sense, but if it's still there after a few days (I don't drive Ms. Daisy) then I'm calling shenanigans lol...
