Did you get to see the rear by any chance?
We all pretty much know what the front looks like, but some of us still seem to have doubts about what the rear will be like. Any info would be great. Thank you, CSL |

Still camo-ed
Doesn't anyone find it bizarre that this thing is still all camoufalged up? It is well past Geneva. Seem to be a really good sign in terms of a possible early availability in the US that it is at some random dealer in Austin as well.
Edit: Ahhh, at ED not in Austin (where the posted lives, I guess). Rest of my questions remains Last edited by swamp2; 03-24-2007 at 08:33 AM.. |

If you look very closely, there appears to be a sunroof on that car. I recall reading that there will still be an option for a sunroof on the car (which will include a regular roof). I would suspect a lot of people will go the "no sunroof" route on the new M3.

Well I am really kicking my self as my camera decided to take a crap right at that moment when I wanted to take more pictures. Here is a fuzzy one that I snapped as it was leaving.

LOL, I was at the dealer with my E46 M3 when a guy (late 40s) with a 328 started talking to me and explained to me that his 328 coupe was basically the same car. I told him, yeah, except spot welded vs. seam welded chassis, full widebody, aluminum hood, and oh, 140hp more. LOL.

thats hilarious.... even though I have the 328 I wouldnt want to compete with an M3 even as a joke. As far as HP isnt M3 rated at 333hp vs 240hp for 328i?
can you explain whats the difference between spot welded vs. seam welded (whats the advantage of one over the other) Quote:

ok as far as it having no cf roof. I believe that the mule seen here doesnt have one for one reason only! its got a sunroof by having the sunroof as an option would delete the cf roof option. as for the vehicle being LHD take another look its RHD!! it is I looked twice. that is pretty high for a test mule but then again test mules are just that for testing and they could be testing suspension settings. I would think this is a big issue for bmw is known for the best all around driven performance vehicles.

There is no sun roof in that. Zoom in, the darker area that looks like a sun roof is the reflection of the black board above. Look either side also as the whole refection thing makes sense.

That's exactly the car I saw near Munich three weeks ago.. It's a right-hand drive, me and my nephew in the Merc raced him for a couple of minutes. At 160 km/h (100 mph) he floored it and ran away big time! It was really fast and the sound was amazing!!
Here are some pics: My nephew made a small video, but I don't have that at the moment.. I'll try to post it on monday.. |
