Need your Help GUys!!
I get vibrations in my steering wheel when i go over 80 mph. Well I got a wheel balance done and my car still vibrates when going over 80 mph. What could it be??????? But one thing I noticed today when the shop was balancing my front tires when they put the car on the lift, both front tires pointed inwards from the bottom and the top side pointed out, but the back were perfectly straight with the fenders. I took some pics let me know if you guys need them.

What about the alignment? That's the first thing I'd check. I had the same symptoms as you and it was my alignment.
The steering wheel would vibrate at highway speed. Road noise was so bad I couldn't use my Bluetooth. Got the alignment done and things were back to normal. Check you tires for uneven wear or cupping on the edges.

Make sure they were balanced with a proper balancing machine using roadforce and inner as well as outer wheel weights. It also helps when the operator knows all features of the machine.
Make sure the tires are mounted with the yellow dot on the lowest part of the rim and the red dot on the lightest part or as close as possible. If the tires are old, they may not be able to be balanced 100%. If they tires are new, one may be defective. A steering wheel vibration and nothing else could mean the tire isn't mounted properly. Clean the hubs and wheel contact face and make sure the nuts are torqued properly. |
