Help!

I read through a lot of the bmw coding success thread.... not much mentioned about this peculiar problem i have...

I have a 06/09 build of e92 M3
Connected the cable... waited for the red LED to diasappear... started INPALOAD went to the air bag got the IFH-0009 Error...

decided to skip the airbag thing... went to the NCS Expert and pressed F1>F3>e89>CAS
got the Vin is Faulty error...

However....

My friend has an 06/08 build
Connected the cable... waited for the red LED to diasappear... started INPALOAD went to the air bag got some error forgotten which was it...

also decided to skip the airbag thing... went to NCS Expert went to F1>F3>e89>CAS got the VIN and VO to come out... pressed F6 and wanted to read the ECU... (CAS) but this time... it put out an error of the CABD-2000 Error

Do i need to disconnect pin 8?

I downloaded the NCSEXPER.RAR from the BMW Coding success thread and got the cables from here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

Thanks for any help!

Andre

SGDAT, ECU or DATEN needs to be updated.

I had a similar problem reading the CIC on an 09 E92 M3. I updated the DATEN files and I was able to read the CIC. Odd thing about the DATEN update, is that I was not able to read my 07 NFRM afterwards , I had to actually restore the original NCSEXPERT and EDIABAS folders. Weird.

Just disconnect pin 8, you don't need it for any E90 chassis, Pins 7+8 were required for the older 3 series chassis because they used double K lines.
