Simon is a great bloke- the only thing that stopped him making the last meet for a group re-map, was the fact that he was moving house!

yeah he's sound...

he's being very thorough about investigating the remap of the 335d, but is still not willing to do it, which i'm very impressed with. there have been a lot of 335d ecus killed because of some property of the ecu which differs from most and wheres as a few of the companies would have a go, he is only willing to do it once there is 100% success rate.

good guy, i'm waiting for him to crack it then he's got my business

from everything i've read my gut feeling is DMS is the industry standard top notch stuff, unfortunately they know it and will charge you like theres no tomorrow...

nice guys down there tho, if money was no object whatsoever i'd probably make the trip ( although i don't think even they are confident about the 335d ecu yet, no worries with the version in the 535 etc but the 3 is still causing some gripe )

saying that, i'd probably still use e-maps just cuz

... so you know, just cuz

Speak the the chippers - they will tell you if they have done a petrol 335i, with their customer's permission they may allow you to contact customer's who have had it done - give them a call

Yes, try DMS. There are a few members at the meet tmrw who have used DMS and recommend them but that was for 320d. You could have met them and discussed their experience... No chippers expected tmrw unless Viv has organised but I don't think so

NO organised chipping companies are due at UK3, tomorrow.

It has not yet been organised for a UK meet.

We can organise a re-mapping deal at a future meet, if there enough interest- there just hasn't been enough 'put my money where my mouth is' attitude amongst the UK members so far, ok!

I tried sorting this out for UK2- have a look at that thread.

For those who are interested, there is contact info for DMS (Mike Cooper) & e-maps (Simon) in that thread.
I've spoken to both of them & they will offer a group discount.

Viv
