Is it true that this board is dominated by 335i enthusiasts who at ages under 25 have purchased a car costing more than $45K? This is the same crowd that believes that only a girlie man would drive a 328i or god forbid a 316 in Europe.
I would bet that a small displacement BMW four cylinder 3 series would be a blast to drive. However, from what I have heard the Europeans are taxed into the smaller displacement engines. For many many years the europeans have been blasting around in small displacement Alfas and Fiats and have been having more fun than us. |

i wouldn't make comment as such.
in some countries, what you paid for your ride in the US may only buy you a tricycle. Last edited by Bimmeration; 12-28-2008 at 01:47 PM.. |

Europeans should be applauded for driving smaller cars with smaller engines.

Due to the high price of cars and gas in Europe, it becomes more about the overall driving experience than raw power. Everyone loves more power, but if the cost of that power is out of reach, you can still enjoy a great driving machine with modest power, especially if you buy it with a manual tranny, less options, less weight and shorter gearing.
