Converter for CD Changer...
Just got new E90 (2.0D SG,SS,18"Elips') but only have single slot CD! A mate has given me an Alpina 6 CD Changer but the converter box doesn't fit to the cable plug preparation in the E90 and apparently the new converter is not available for another 3 months in the UK.
My questions is....where can I get a converter, if they are availble now? Many thanks |

The E90 entertainment system runs on a Fibre optic system called the MOST bus.
The CD Chnager becomes a component of the MOST bus and has to act as a transfer node on the bus. So i doubt there will be any way to connect a non BMW changer, and even the BMW changer recquires the car to be reprogrammed if it is added |

Incase anyone was wondering the MOST system is a development by the MOSTCooperation which is a company formed by BMW, Mercedes (DaimlerChrysler), Audi , Harman/Becker and Oasis SiliconSystems
This is why you see Mercedes and Audi bring out systems symilar to Idrive A number of other companies are now interested and getting involved including : toyota, porsche, Renault, Volvo, VW, Nissan, Jaguar Honda ect ect |
