Berk Exhaust
Anyone know if running a Berk muffler delete here in Germany is legal? I want to improve the exhaust tone of my 135i but dont want to get a big Euro fine for this.

I would say that sound level is probably where they would get you
all cars/bikes/trucks are reqired to be under a certain sound level...search the european posts...I remember elsabor67 posting something about the dbs that are legal. Not sure about the muffler delete part...I figure no one is really looking as long as the sound is good. Just my thoughts.

The "MAGIC" number is 95db. That is the max loud an exhaust can be. The way its measured is an inspecor will stand behind the vehicle at about 2-3 feet away at a 45degree angle and have the db meter at the level of the exhaust. If it registers anything above that, you are too loud.
Berk Technology makes excellent products at great prices (I have the Street Exhaust Version), but I would suggest you to look around. Some exhausts do come with a 95db certificate guaranteeing that 95db level. I almost went the AFE route when a guy was selling the BT exhaust I have now.

I dont know of the db on the Berk MD system, I think I will just put my stocker back on for inspection purpose only. How do you like the Berk sport? I would love to hear it in person

But 95db isnt everything! You Need it TÜV approach to get it Street legal... I am 100% sure that the Berk got not the TÜV Papers... So youre loosing your Abe of your Car and the insurance Company wont Pay anything ( in Case )
So, its Not easy to put some Import Stuff on your Car, at least in Germany... If you got som "rubbing Tyres" for example, you wont get a TÜV sign, without a TÜV sign your Car is Not Street legal...
