Number plate screws
The screws holding my number plates on are all rusty. Anyone know where I can get suitable replacements (not the stealers). Tried halfrauds a while back but they don't do any screws or wee head covers that are the right size.

eBay.
I bought a mixed pack ages ago and still have loads left. A mixture of screws, colours, plastic coloured screws, etc, all for about £3-4. I'll see if I can find a similar link... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-PK-CAPS-SCR...item2eb00efb0b or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/60-pack-mixed-...item51984c3157 or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/30-Pack-Mix-Nu...item3a4a3a0bfc or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/12-COLOURED-PL...item4aa8f5e477 Loads on there, just search 'number plate screws' or 'number plate fixing set'.

I've got these:
http://www.ruderacing.co.uk/p301910/...duct_info.html They are anodised metal, so look quite nice, and have the added benefit of being security versions. Much nicer than the plastic fold-over screw covers. Originally bought them from Halfords, but now can't see on their website, but plenty of places sell them online.

Cheers guys.
Not sure the ebay ones have the correct thread. They look like the Halfords ones (only twice as many for half the price) and none of them fitted. Those rude racing ones look like they could do the job.

I do like having plates on with sticky pads but my car still has the original main dealer plates and I quite like that fact. Not saying it stands for anything, just something I noted even when I first viewed the car.

Fair do's
Mine were starting to de-laminate when I bought it so got some new plates. Actually, I almost always buy new plates when I get a car as it really freshens it up more than you think Or maybe I've just always been unlucky and keep getting manky plates on cars

Same here, it often speaks volumes about the car - crash repairs etc etc

I had the same issues, back was fine but front screws bit rusted and needed to change as I put my own plates. Messed it up soo many times in the end just paid the £40 @ Park Lane dealers, good job and got a free wash n vac too.....
