Help - folding mirrors

I have a 635d with the folding mirrors option. is it possible to have the car coded so the mirrors fold when locking with the fob and unfold when unlocking? my local dealer says no but they are pretty thick!

dealers are not aware of half the features that cars have!!
they're just a bunch of monkeys.

retrofits aint exactly their strong points.

u best going to a bmw specialist and asking them.

You are holding the lock key for a few seconds, right? If you are and they mirrors aren;t folding then yes, it can be coded.

yes holding the lock key and they don't fold - only the windows go up/down by holding lock/unlock button.
how can they be coded? it is going to the dealer on Friday for a idrive software update - they insist it can't be done!

Maybe I should send them a video of my car doing it then

Admittedly we're talking about different models here, but I don't see any reason why they couldn't code it for you.

It was removed at some point because the continual mecahnical movement every time you switched off and started up again was causing too many failures, so I was told by my dealer.

I can understand that, although there is still the option not fold them each time just by locking the car normally. I only fold mine in if parked on a narrow road or carpark space.
