My new X5 35i M Sport
Picked up my baby this past weekend. Here are the first pics. I have OEM 18" winter tire set on right now (winters here are bad) but have the 19" summers in storage. No mods at this time. Just gonna enjoy it the way it is for awhile first.

Awesome! Congratulations and best wishes! Are you going to pit a film to protect? If so can you notice it?

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm going to be talking to the dealer tomorrow. It only has 600km and already paint chips around the front of the rear flares. Can't believe they would design a vehicle this prone to chipping. I recognize that over time stuff will happen but not while I'm still on the second tank of gas! (Also a bad chip on the front windshield directly in line-of-sight but that's just bad luck). The chips along the side are ridiculous. Not sure how this conversation will go with them. They've been pretty good to deal with so far, but obvious this can change things.

You should have a serious sit down with the dealer before taking possession of the X5. I'm in New Brunswick, and I would imagine our roads are similar. Tell them you are worried about chipping, that you heard it's a common with the X5M and X5 M Sports.

Same problem,, after 500 miles I saw paint chips on the front of the rear flares. I thought this can't be, how will this look in 15000 miles??? Ugh, what a design defect. Good news is my local body shop is super cheap- the guy will spray them for $300 all around if it gets really bad. Still, this sux.

Why even bother getting the M sport? You know its going to chip, even with the clear paint protection
