E90 Seats
I'm having a real problem with the seats in my E90, i just can't get comfy!..
I've come from an E92 and had no problems, the seats in the E92 were part electic. The seats in the E90 arn't electric but have all the manual controls to do the same things. Also i'm sure there is a vibration coming from pedals after a 100 miles on the motorway my foot feels numb.. Is this runflats? or the 3.0d my E92 was a 320d. Trip to the dealer or doctor.. I know there isn't an answer as such just wondered if anybody else thought the same? Last edited by e92_alex; 03-10-2011 at 03:29 PM.. |

My seats are really comfy. That was actually one of my main reasons for buying as I frequently suffer from back pain and the ability to tilt the seat base and move the thigh support really helps when it plays up.
Any chance you've went from the alcantara/cloth to leather? The guy that done my windows couldn't believe how comfy my seats were compared to his mother in laws E90 msport which had the leather. My father in law has an E93 with leather and it is like sitting on a bloody board. |

I found the same with leather. My previous 320i e90 msport had alcantara, never seems to get comfy.
My e91 msport has cloth, otherwise the seat is identical, yet it's far and away the most comfortable car seat of any car I've owned. |

ive got bog standard material interior....and theyre proper gash.
the alcantara interior is the best i've sat in I have to say. I get the pins and needles in my gas foot too! but only if i've been messing with cruise control. |

Pins and needles in the foot sounds like too much thigh support so cutting off circulation. Try tilting the front of the seat down a bit and make sure the thigh support is pushed in unless (you have very long legs).
a 330d is far smoother than a 320d so I can't see it being vibration causing it. |

I think the interior I'm talking about is called Blue techno cloth or some shiz like that. It's a tiny blue/black check middle with dark gray alcantera (fake suede) bolsters etc. Pic below.
I believe the expensive leather is comfortable, vienna or nappa, can't remember which is the luxury one. It's not as hard wearing though and needs a lot of "feeding". |

I came from Leather to Leather... Even though the E90 leather seems abit 'cheaper' than the E92.. Might be there using different cow now..
Tried a few options today, no seat extension and tilted flat is a starter like falmouthbot suggested, or one notch back on the tilt. I've decided it's the lower back support thats lacking, I don't have any lumbar controls so assume it's as is, and it's crap.... |

Doh!
So what's the normal leather called then? I've got blue techno so the alcantara is that suedy stuff on the sides. Why can't they stick with simple names |
