Led Angel Eyes!

Hi
I Have an 09 318d E90.
I Have seen some LED angel eye bulbs that change the light colour from yellowish to bright white.I want to put these on my car.
Video's on youtube show it to be very simple but talking to the guy in the ebay shop he says I have to snip off the original connector and strip the wires and fit a couple of spade connectors.
The video's on you tube dont show any wire cutting though.
Has anybody else done this?

Most just plug straight onto the H8 connectors that normally plug onto the bulb.

They normally have a small ballast resistor inline to eliminate error codes.

Should be plug and play - I wouldn't buy a set that required cutting of the loom

Oh dear. Most are for H8, infact everyone I have seen is for h8. I guess you would have to do some custom job like you had written originally.

Hi.

I have halogens and I am getting mine done in a couple weeks. You just need to modify the harness and wire in a resistor.

I'll post up in a couple of weeks with my results and put you in touch with the same guys for parts if interested?

Yeah that would be great thanks.
just looking in my Bmw manual to see what bulbs I have and that is as clear as mud too.
I mean what are side lights, parking lights, cornering lights and daytime driving lights?
It also states that there are 2 versions of halogen fitted to my model but the description of either looks nothing like my set up grrrr. its like a secret society that doesnt want me to know lol.
Ive called 3 companies now that have all told me something different :-(.

here's a guide on how to fit them..

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=285855

i've got LCI halogens on my pre LCI e90 and im planning on fitting them at some point, i was going to buy them from hids4u. I emailed them and they are apparently the 6W version, not the 3W version as shown in the picture on the website..
