Front Splitter Fitting

Hi all,

Just got a set of front splitters off ebay, it was described from BMW dealer however the instruction of fitting wasn't available (if they comes with it at all)

Its for the Pre LCI non M-sport. It looks like it is bolted to the bottom part of the bumper and it came with stickers goes to the inside of the splitter (where it rest on the bumper.) My question is will I need adhesive to stick it down or is the bolts at bottom is sufficent?

Thanks

You NEED adhesive.
You could use a 3M double sided tape from B&Q.
Or get some 'Pertex' adhesive from Teddy at SSDD Motorsport dot com.

The 'Pertex' E6000 stuff is a very strong rubber glue solution.
It can be peeled off with a bt of effort but is clear and tough once cured.
Ideal for anything you want to remove later, and easier than the tape products.
You'll need to wedge the parts against a wall with some wood or something I expect, to keep pressure on them whilst it sets.

I did try to find this product, but it seems to be an imported Bangladeshi thing.
Consistency and smell is not unlike Bostick contact adhesive, but without the solvent.
It seems to be a 'craft adhesive' but I know SSDD will supply it.
