Price: $17,800. Branded title

The car was in an accident. All repairs done by respected auto body shop. Have all paper work, receipts and pictures of accident. No airbags deployed, no frame damage.

Never had a problem with the car. Up to date on all the maintenance. Drives great!

Bro I would honestly just spend $100 list it on autotrader for 20k, you will sell it a lot faster and with more $$ in your pocket.

Yeah he runs the problem of branded title. I've sold 2 branded title cars before and it isnt easy

you get way more flakes and even more low balls. You end up having to sell it for like half of what book is just to finally be done with it

but if you have tons of time to do it then go for it I guess. I've seen your car on the craigslist here for a while though man so I'm assuming you already know everything I'm saying

Yeah it depends on the market. Sometimes you can get close to book (within 5%) or sometimes you can only get 50% of book. And branded can mean an assortment of things but most of the time people will post ads with the word "branded" because they don't want to say "salvage." There is an area on the title itself that has the heading "brands" and under that it will say what the car is "branded" as. Salvage and rebuilt are the most common but occasionally you get "buy back." It can depend on the severity of the accident and they decide designate the brand depending on % of damage to the value of the car. Some things like "theft recovery" aren't that big of deal but if the car has had the airbags deployed and can expect some degree of frame damage. Other times with older cars a simple bumper crunch will salvage the car because its current market value is so low it isn't worth fixing in the insurance company's eyes.

The exact brand of the title is "Repaired," meaning it was in an accident and repaired. the damage wasn't bad enough to give the title a salvage brand but enough for the title to be branded. Airbags stayed intact and no frame damage. Now days you can get a branded title for almost anything. Its ridiculous.
