I am getting Evolved :-)

Been thinking about changing my car to an LCI E92 for a while but in the end I made a choice and that choice was to keep the car for another year or so.

Instead I have ordered the remap and switch box from Evolve

They are sold out at the moment (due to the great deal £449 inc vat) so I will have to wait until next week but I am really looking forward to it. Already added it to the insurance and it was only £80 which I thought was good.

Adding my plate today and then it will be a full correction detail (I do it myself) when I have a day.

Once I have the remap I will post a review..

Oh I have a 325d M Sport

Certainly a cheaper option than changing your car (wish I could be so sensible ). Should notice a nice difference.

Car looks good. I've always shyed away from light(ish) exterior & light interior but the more I see the combination the more I like it.

It's great when you get that excitement back about your car after making decisions like these. Bet you can't wait for next week. Enjoy!

Yep really looking forward to it and it's such a good car and low mileage that it would be silly to move her on especially as the LCI is a lot more £££.

Will have to keep my eye out for a rolling road session as it would be good to get a readout.

Bell Direct, I picked the high map option as well as there is a 10% power increase and another one that is 11-25%. The 10% option was only £24 but I wanted to make sure I was covered etc.

While I was there I mentioned the optional equipment like 19" wheels and non runflats which added nothing to the premium as they are factory options.

Standard is 197 so should be good for 240/245hp with about 380/390 ft ib. I reckon it will be as quick as my old E90 330i (252hp).

Anything above 250bhp would be a bonus, will try and get it on a rolling road as I have the box I can see what it is standard and mapped.

The Evolve 325d map is a huge improvement over standard, you won't regret it. I've been running it for about 18 months. I occasionally put it back to standard and it feels like I'm towing a caravan or something.

I'd love to know what effect this has on the car. I have exactly the same car, and have been wondering about a remap, but only had it 2-3 months and its still under warranty, I also do high mileage therefore more servicing, at which point they may remove it. Also be interested in what effect it has on fuel economy ?

The switch you get from Evolve allows you to turn on/off for when the car goes to the dealer or even re-flash if the map were to be removed for some reason.

Some will tell you that you should get improved economy but I haven't really noticed that. Its definately not any worse though, and you get more performance so I suppose that's arguably the same thing as getting better economy.

Luton but you don't need to go there, you do it yourself with the box of tricks they send.
Or if you're not comfortable doing it, pop round to mine next time your passing Swindon, not far from you

I am only in reading so more than happy to show you mine when I get it. Forb£449 its too good to turn down, I paid nearly £1000 the last time I mapped a car.

I mapped my golf and it was the best thing I did, had it for nearly 30,000 miles and never missed a beat.

Id be interested

I would be very interested in your opinion after the map is fitted ,my wife has a 325d m sport it has 6,000mls on and is real nice.

I would like to have it mapped one day ,I think previous i was talked out off it by ant397 something about the 325d autobox being completly different to the one used in the 330/335d .

I guess if you drive it sensible and dont do the mental launch starts it will be ok
