Alloy refurb in the North West?

Can anyone recommend a good alloy reburb place in the North West?

There's some curb-rash (from the previous owner) and bubbling going on so I want my winter wheels blasted, repainted, tyres refitted/balanced, etc. I want as close to OEM finish as possible.

I got an online quote from the Wheel Specialist but at £80 a corner it's sounding expensive compared to other prices I've read about on here.

Being from Rochdale also! I used these in Bury:

£40 I think it was and they did a good job when my wife gave it a right good kerbing on the front.

I'll give them a call and see what they can do.

Not sure that'd include a full stripping down to metal though, I think these wheels have had a refurb before I got them so there's corrosion going on, as well as plenty of rash round the edges.

Just dropped some rims off with Wheelrite in Chorley on Friday and will probably pick them up next week. For the full wheel off, strip, powder coat and polish it is £60 per rim. These were badly marked by the previous owner and need a good bit of work. They got a few recommendations on detailing world forum.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on - I work round that way and was planning on getting my wheels done before I swap them for the Winters currently on. They were kerbed to death by the previous owner and never got round to having them done - thought it was worthwhile before ptting them back on the car come Springtime.

Thanks.

My summers are in with the wheel specialist on Ashton Old Road now. Forget online quotes, phone up and barter!!

£250 for 4 wheels bead blasted to bare metal, full oven baked powder coat front and back and laquer.

That's with them taking the tyres off, including full re-fit and balance with new valves too.

I'm having Hyper silver, but they do all the oem finishes and more.

Are The Wheel Specialist the best around? They seem to be the most common mentioned in the Leeds area where I'm based at the moment...
