Duplicating Key Fob settings?
The car has two key fobs, one for my wife and one is mine. How can I take all the settings from my fob, and "teach" them to my other fob? In other words I want them to be identical. ie. radio, mirrors, seats...all the same with BOTH fobs.
Is it possible without manually adjusting everything and trying to get it exact? 2006 330xi non-CA, non nav. Sport/Winter/6MT

I don't think so man. Each time you put a fob in the car, the settings for the fob are applied to it. You'd probably have to just do everything all over again once that fob is inserted.
Unless BMW has some secret file transferring device for fobs.

I just hate when I have to go out to the car to unlock it or to move it and I have my wifes fob, which she rarely uses, and all the settings change when I unlock the car...I guess I'll just manually enter everything and let her use the #2 seat memory button if she has to use the car.

Not sure if it would work, but what about setting the car to apply the fob settings when you unlock ... then unlock with the fob with the good settings ... and then star the car with the other fob. Maybe it will copy over the seat and mirror settings? Not sure about the radio, etc. but maybe it will work.

Thanks it's worth a gamble. But how do I set "apply setting on unlock" mode? Is that done with the stalk?

Yes ... You can have your fob's settings remembered either when hitting unlock or when putting the fob in the ignition. Set it so it remembers the settings when you hit unlock.

OK I went out to the car unlocked with MY fob and all is good. I started it with my fob then I took the fob out and started it without a fob. When I inserted the WIFES fob with the car running, her settings came up. If I unlock the car with her fob OR insert her fob running or not running, her settings come up. I suppose I will try inserting my fob, set the fobs to REMEMBER WHEN LOCKED, and then use hers to lock the car. Wow need a degree for this.

As soon as the fob goes in the slot, the seats, mirrors, and radio settings change.
