245/40R18 tires

Does anyone know if 245/40R18 tires will fit on the front of a 2007 335xi. I asked the dealer but they were no help. I am only asking as I would like to switch to 18 inch wheels (from 17 inch wheels) but need all season run flat tires since I live in the northeast. I would rather not have to switch to snow tires. I can't seem to find 225/40R18 all season run flats. Does anyone know if this size exists because I can't seem to find any on tire rack.

While youre on Tirerack watch their videos about snow and winter tires. All Season tires are NO SEASON tires really. If you have designated winters you can have summer tires that will way out perform all seasons and winters will way outperform all seasons. Both will last twice as long. Doesnt cost you ANY more...youre just buying your next set early. Treat it like a safety issue...because it is.

What about the cost of buying an extra set of wheels? Or if you use just one set of wheels, paying someone to switch the tires?

OP, I did notice a set of the Bridgestone Gen3 all-season runflats in that size on Tirerack. Granted, it was meant for toyota minivan, but the size is right.

245 wide tires are too wide for an 8" wide wheel. Will it mount up? Probably, but it isn't a recommended size for that width of wheel.

^BMW mounts 245/40 on 18x8 as OEM on the e60.

So if it fits on the 8inch wide wheel (I'm looking to get a set of style 162 wheels), will this fit on the front of a 335xi without any fender rubbing or without having to modify the fender.

Wouldn´t it be better to get a lower profile tire when changing to a wider tire? i.e 245/35/18
