MV3 wheels painted *updated with pics*

Yes, after a long time of thinking and postponing it, ive done it. They are painted in matt gunmetal on a sparkling graphite E92. They look fantastic. Not in the car yet as they were painted today, and as the paint is fresh i would damage the finish if i tried to put the tires back on.

Tomorrow i wiil get my car back, and i will take and post some pics.. Name: 1.jpg

Not the best pics, as they were taken quickly in parking place, will take some better ones during the weekend and will post them,

[QUOTE=Vaheed1;8896045]Hey, How much did the car seat set you back? I'd really like that for my little un [/QUOTE

I have bought this BMW seat, when my son was 9 months old. That was 13 months ago, at the price of 300 euros.

BMW Junior Seat I-II ISOFIX is approved for children with a body weight of 9-18 kg.

Even though the seat back angle has two positions, they are both pretty close to vertical. So there is no comfortable reclined position for the child to sleep in. This was a big issue for us because our son's head and neck droop and hang in weird postions when he fallen asleep in the seat and sometimes his neck hurts when he wakes up. The Maxi Cosy seat that we have in my wifes car, was a snap to adjust the back angle on and had a very comfortable recline angle for sleeping.

Now that my son is round 20 months old, i can say that he feels comfortable in that carseat.

Are your wheel hubs painted? The one in the picture looks nice and clean. Mine started to rust and i don't know what to do with them.

As you said before putting up the pics, they go very well with the colour of the car. Good choice.

Yes they are painted ofcourse, its impossible to keep a BMW hubs rust free

I bought a professional spray, i cant remember how its called right now, its not a spray paint, but a liquid metal spray. Its a bit expensive but it makes miracles... It completely covers the rust and keeps it rust free for ages.. On top of that liquid spay, i sprayed a silver paint just to complete the job.

Thats what i did with the calipers as well

They were all done 5 months ago, and im still happy with the result

They still look great on the car. They were painted by the Porsche authorised bodyshop.

I can get the paint code for you JTMR360 by tomorrow no worries

Hi,

Great job on yr wheels, hubs and callipers. Did you remove the callipers or paint them in situ? Need to do something with brake callipers in particular the spring clips on the outer face. Mild steel with rusty brown surface not pretty.

I can't believe I'm admitting to painted calliper envy, ha ha.......

Any tips welcome.

Cheers,

Pave

The looks awesome,

How much did you pay?

My car is also spark graph and i recently got a price from sytners leicester of £100 a wheel for an OEM msport gunmetal respray on my MV3's.
Am very tempted now looking at the results on yours.
Not cheap though.

Is it just me who thinks the new colour makes it look like they are simply coated with brake dust and haven't been cleaned in ages?

Boooooooooooo........

IMO they look good. I will be copying the painting of the hubs and calipers come spring time.

Thinking gold calipers...... Or maybe a bit too bling? Yellow or red?
