If he really wants it fixed he will go to the dealer regardless of warranty.

funny on how this forums are filled with DIYer and super knowledgeable technical people, but the majority still recommend just go to dealer.
i think OP knows that he can always get to the dealer (unless there's none nearby).

thetryal, it could be several things as i'm trying to find the noise on my door too.
1. the weatherstripping is dirty/old, need to clean/condition/replace (easy)
2. the door need to be adjusted as it could be misaligned with the body (super-hard)

FILLED with super knowledgeable tech people??? Wow , we are reading different posts. I was only thinking dealer because it the op had the knowledge and ability to dismantle his door then he probably would. If you know whats inside a door I think you would recommend a dealer visit too. Too much shi# in there for me anyway.

wow, im late to the party.

i am out of warranty. also, i HATE going to the dealer. i have worked with 2 dealers and they both walk around like thier $hit dont stink.

also

the closest dealer is 20 miles away and the round trip is ~90 minutes.

if i can fix something i normally do. not only for cost savings but satisfaction and know how.

music will cover it up but still doesnt fix my problem

anyways;

when i push against it, it stops. it is on the wood grain trim. ill try to clean it and see if that makes any difference.

does anyone know how to take the trim off or have any diy advice??

335okc, thanks for real advice

Take a plastic wedge tool and pry from the inside of the door to the outside

If you're looking at the door from the inside...
