E 10 gasoline?!

I am stationed in Germany and the gas stations here are going to an E 10 fuel?! Email traffic said I should contact my manufacturer and ask them if my vehicle can utilize this fuel? Issues I have:
1. they are forcing the fuel on us even if our cars cant use it.
2. I didnt really choose to live in germany, they assigned me here.
3. How am I supposed to get to work if my car can't utilize this new gas?

WTF US GOVT!!!!

Anybody knowledgeable with gasoline with up to 10% ethanol ok for our cars?

Thanks

if I'm not mistaken that 10% ethanol which is what the entire US gas system uses now. I believe you will be fine, I wouldn't worry.

the gas station I use is 10% and my tuned 335 has no issue.

It can use it; just continue to follow octane rating requirements.

Get out into the local economy more and you'll have a better attitude about being there. I know that you are in a little backwater country but I'd bet that there a BMW or two driving on German roads that drink E10 quite happily.

Perhaps you should just not re-enlist when your three years come up.

Look at your post again and try to think it through logically.

You are living in Germany, driving a German car and pumping German gas. "WTF" does the "US GOVT!!!" have to do with this? Most every servicemember not in Germany would give their eye teeth to be stationed there (although Hohenfels isn't the garden spot of Germany it is close to some very nice places.)

You can buy gas off base at the prices as on base and the gas sold on base comes from the tanker that services the local German stations (or did you think they flew the gas in from the US just for you?)

Being in Germany is an opportunity you may never have again. Get out there and enjoy it. I'd bet any troop in Kandahar would trade with you in a heartbeat.

E10 is what is used in the US. No need to panic. You'll be fine. You're car is rated for it.
