lighted rings surrounding the clusters
Can someone post pics of the illuminated clusters? I have found that some clusters have 2 red lighted rings surrounding the speedometer and tachometer and some don't. Can someone confirm this? Mine is without the red lighted rings

The ring around the speedometer is used for the cruise control. It shows a mark next to the speed you've set the cruise control to. On the tachometer there's also some markings (the white stripes before the redline) that seems to be on a movable disc like the cruise control, we've even seen diagrams of it, but noone has seen it "do" anything. One theory is that this will show "save" rpms before the engine has reached optimum temperature, like on the E46 M3. I'm sure it will be used on models not launched yet.
