got this regarding my order, does this mean I get the "6NR" update or not? Says i will get "6NF" ???? I'm a total noob, and realistically all I really care about is getting my car, not the iPod bells and whistles.

Nope, couldn't get the light colors I wanted and not worry about it with a 4yo in the back. Too much work to keep nice. Thanks for your opinion though.

I don't know. I would probably ask your guy @ the dealer if 6NR would be added on your configuration since it has a confirmed March build. And if not, since there is still time, can he add 6NR to the option sheet for your configuration, provided it is built in March and there is time.

Better ask now and get the actual answer from them instead of assuming one way or another since it is not listed on your spec sheet and then being surprised one way or another after you get your car.

And yes your car is LCI - anything post 2009 e90 is a LCI (life cycle impulse).

Leather, Leather, Leather........ really? don’t be snobs, with a 50k car is 1400 really an issue? No, I think not. I've had the heart ache of melted gummy bears, dropped Slurpee’s, and French fries in the creases. I'm a husband and father of two, I will use this car for weekend trips as well as my daily commuter. This car is a keeper, not something I'm going to flip in 4-5 years. I've sat in both and am hard pressed to say that the leather is better. other than the fact that you can say "LEATHER" I couldn't get Coral or Black Napa/Oyster (which are my actual preferences) so I didn't see the point of all the heart ache and extra work to keep nice. So please just get off my ass about the leather and read the post.

Thanks, will do, I am stationed overseas in Spain and the guy that I orederd from is gone back to Germany. His replacement seems a little less informed. I will call BMW directly if I dont get the info from him. Just thought one of you guys might have exp on the subject.

Starting with March production all BMW cars (not SAVs) with Smartphone Integration (6NF) will automatically get Smartphone Apps (6NR) at no additional cost.

If you are unsure of your build date or options ask your CA for a screen capture from the BMW order system. That have a a more detailed option/order code summary of what's included in your car.
