Why is it these lights always have broken lugs!!
How many of the lugs are repaired? And will they sit correctly when fitted of will the headlights have to be aligned? Are you open to offers on these? |

One of the lights has 1 lug repaired and the other has 3 They will sit as they should, I would not be selling the headlights if the fitment was not right. Not sure what you mean. The lugs are in the same place they were when they were made in the factory. Not looking at offers at the moment as i think they are well priced Thanks Last edited by G-10; 02-09-2011 at 04:56 AM.. |

After the lights are installed you will have to go to an MOT test station and have the lights aligned. Any test station should be able to test this and alter for a small fee.

Ah i see thats what sabato meant by aligned. I thought for a second you meant align to the body parts.
The light beam may or may not need to be aligned its a 50/50. If they do you can take it to your mot place most do it for around £10. Or you can do it yourself. All you have to do is park the car against a wall at dusk.Turn the lights on. Open the bonnet on the top of the headlight there is two white knobs with allenkey heads. Turn them until both headlightlight beams are at the same height and they need approx 4 feet from the floor. roughly at the height of the bulb in the car. on dip beam only. main is not checked. with the car about 4 feet from the wall. Will they work as a replacement for auto-levelling halogens from an 06 e90? If they will, would you consider £260 shipped to ireland for a quick sale?

I have never come across auto levelling halogen headlights. I thought it was only xenon headlights that had the auto levelling feature. Ate you sure they are auto levelling? I am not sure if they would be suitable for your car. I would take £260 for a quick sale but postage would be on top. |

Whats the best price incl postage to Dublin, Ireland?
Not sure about the auto-levelling myself. The light beam seems to move when I start up the car when parked on my drive (which is on a hill) so I thought that might be auto levelling. I dont have xenons |

The LCI headlights really do make a difference to the look of the non LCI car, really livens the front end.
I would suggest getting the M3 silver indicator bulbs though as the original orange ones make the lights look naff. They aren't cheap, think they were £25 for the two! |

The M3 indicator bulbs I believe are only available from the dealers. I hunted all over the net for them and eventually gave up and paid dealer price. If you search on here you'll find the part number and your dealer will more than likely have to order them in as it's not stock they carry.

Are they just a white bulb? Surely I can just order something "similar" online..

They are covered in a silver/mirror effect finish but have an unusual base that is used to fit them in place.
I just found it easier stumping up the cash and buying from BMW as I knew that way they would work 100% without errors and would be of decent quality. |
