Comfort access FIXED!

Hey there,

You may remember from such threads as this.

Well, I'm happy to report that my comfort access has been fixed!

I took it to my local dealer and according to the service report, they found some connection in the right door that was loose or something (there was a lot of technical mumbo jumbo that I didn't really understand but that seemed to be the gist of it).

Funny thing is my service advisor had told me there was some sort of software error that they fixed, but the report doesn't mention anything about that. He didn't seem to know what he was talking about anyway, as he thought that there was a rechargeable battery in the key fob when I told him that I had replaced the battery

Anyway, the CA seems to work pretty much flawlessly now with both doors. I just wonder how the connection could've gotten loose.

For those of you who were never to get yours fixed, I hope this gives you hope. I can scan the service report and post it if anyone wants.

One of those circular lithium ones (CR2032 I believe).

OK here's the service report; I've underlined the important part. They also mentioned that they replaced the handle with a known good handle, but that did not fix the problem. Hope this helps. And you can always try a different dealer. Good luck
