New Owner! woohoo

Just got my first BMW. Last night I bought a 08 335i sedan, gray. I love this thing, I traded in my truck and got a super deal. it only had 30k miles and it was CPO meaning I still had 20k for maintenance and 2 years bumper to bumper. The dealer still has to send me a manual as there wasnt one in the car. I don't know how to work anything in the dang car.

Anyway, you should be seeing me around here. Im so excited.

You should be able to download a manual for your car from BMW on-line:

Try Here: http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...cfah+EfwVMoHY=

Plus there are a bunch of video tutorials there that cover many of the features!

Welcome and enjoy!

Congrats on the new car and welcome to the forum. As mentioned above you can download a PDF version of the manual from the bmw.com site. Enjoy!

ENJOY

Great car. Mine has 40,000 virtually trouble free miles. Just do routine upkeep plus regular oil changes(5k-7.5k miles) and poof! You, too, will love the ride.

Man, i just had the car for 1 night and I already have a mod list. Looking at them, parts for this car is expensive! but it will be worth it. First up is wheels and trying to find out if I can get a DVD player hooked up to the fac nav screen. Thanks for the heads up on the manual!

Congrats capaladj!

New owner here too, except CPO 08 328xi sedan. I didn't get a manual either but the dealer is going to get one for me. I don't mean the thread-jack here but does the car notify you when you need [X] maintenance item done? Or do you need to follow a schedule yourself that is outlined in the manual based on time/mileage. I am a long-time honda owner and am still learning the BMW ways.

Also, about the maintenance, shouldn't that be up to 100k or 6-years from inception, whichever first, for maintenance\warranty. That's what my CPO came with. Is that only with an extended warranty?

Man, I live in the mountains and there are TONS of windy roads to get to my house and it is so much fun. I keep pushing the speed in the turns and the 335 takes them with ease. I love it. I would take my truck at like 35-45 mph cuz the body roll sucks. the 335 can easily take those turns at 50-60mph.

If you're tech savy like me, you'll probably enjoy going through all the controls and menus and once you figure everything out, you'll whip out the manual on your phone and find even more cool stuff. (assuming you have idrive, can't comment on non-idrive since i have no experience w/ them)

oh yeah, i have the idrive. I am going through the manual and am figuring out how everything works. this thing is impressive. in the last 4 years i've had

-honda prelude
-mazda rx8
-honda civic
-mitsubishi eclipse
-ford mustang
-ford f150 harley davidson

and now the Bimmer!

I can tell you that i probably am gonna stick to BMW from now on. Just my experience with the dealer alone was awesome!
