Discount Tire Wheel Bolt Question

A month ago, I went to Discount Tire and purchased new rims and tires (Drag DR-37 17x7.5" and Continental ContiProContact 225/45R17). I made it clear that I didn't want new lug bolts, but they installed them anyway. I compared the stock BMW lugs to what they put on (Gorilla Products #17179SD-20D) and the thread dimension (1.1") and seat taper (60 degrees) are identical.

Does anyone know why they replaced them? Is it common practice from Discount Tire to replace any and all lug bolts/nuts when they change rims?

The reason I ask is because I like the stock black BMW bolts and I want to use them in the front when I space the back tires out 12mm. I was thinking about going with Rogue Engineering and ordering the proper length lug bolts that come with the spacers (in black to match the fronts). Or if that didn't work, I was considering installing the Rogue Engineering Wheel Studs all around, but that's $150 just for some stupid studs and nuts.

Thoughts?

Factory lugs are cone seat. The rims you bought could be a different type of seat and needed different lugs

That is a good idea, and I just looked it up. Here is what I found. The Gorilla lug bolts are also cone seated (see part #17179).

i'd go with the studs... just my opinion, just because if you decide that it makes not obly easier to change out the wheels, but most stud combos are good enough to use on a range of different spacers, instead of having to continuously purchase new wheel bolts...
