How ROUGH is the ride really?

Howdy Guys,

I have had a few posts lately asking questions about the Forgestar f14. I like this wheel in the fact I can get a 18" wheel and go wider. They seem to be the only wheel maker that makes 18's in wider wheel sizes. However, I don't want to wait 2 months to get them.

So, if I go with a 19" wheel how much of a rougher ride is it really going to be?

I can tell you it was a great day the day I shucked my Bridgestone RFTs for non-RFT Michelins. The ride was substantially smoother and quieter. In fact, the next time I buy a new BMW the runflats are coming off at the dealer muy pronto.

I live in Houston and the roads are pretty bad. Especially the interior streets of Houston (4th largest city in the nation and our tax base dollars certainly are not going towards road repairs).

Bottom line, is I don't want to sacrifice comfort. I don't want my car sounding like a rattle trap from the inside because of a long term exposure to a harsh ride.

Thanks for any input!

G

HI, I also live in Houston and just yesterday swaped by OEM wheels for some beautiful Alufelgen SF71 in 19", I honestly dont think the ride is bad at all, maybe a little bit more noise but the killer looks make up for that! :-). Also, please note that I previously had non RFT bridgestone tires as I had ditched the RFT's earlier on....
