The Final Winter Tale Of A Sparkling Graphite 335xi...

This is the last winter this baby will be with me. It is going back in about 2 months ... Here are a few pics to show what NYC is putting it through this winter season. xi has been handling it like a champ despite being lowered...

In 2 months "Eleanor" will be sitting in my driveway...

How it all started... cold, sunny & beautiful...

Then the 20 inches came in December... that was fun even in the middle of the blizzard and 1AM!!!

Where did the roundel go?

Frozen Graphite!!! DO IT BMW!!! I see another M3 color in the making!!!

I decided it was best to just catch the train that day. There was ice everywhere and there are just not that many knowledgeable NYC drivers out there. Cabs driving crazy, ladies in their SUVs and minicabs rushing to get their kids to school or trying to put on their makeup because they were running a bit late...

It wasn't worth the risk in my opinion so I just played it safe. Train was slow and crowded but I'm cool with that.

Lmao... I saw the car that morning and said screw it. The ice was thick and the roads were coated with the stuff. Saw a G35 guy sliding doing only about 5 mph... saw he was still wearing summer shoes and then thought to myself... What are the chances that most people are driving with the right tires... in NYC... about 20% at best. I put on the boots and hit up the train. Best decision of the day. SUVs with big rims thinking they were tanks... cars just polishing the ice at every corner since they were all trying to gas it in ice... people walking in the street because the sidewalks were not salted or scraped...

Brooklyn in this weather man... ***facepalm***

driving with summer tires in NY... uh tight streets , major congestion... not a wise idea.

That frozen paint pic is awesome.

(Also, I thought from the thread title that the car got into an accident... glad to hear that is not the case.)

No accident... only have this one for about 7 more weeks. I'm hoping my next coupe will be here in time but I don't have too much confidence right now that it will since production hasnt started yet.
