Traction????

So, it snowed about 5million inches here the other night, n i have all season tires which obviously suck in the snow! I'm so mad cause i get tired of my wheels just spinning and taking forever to get moving even when there is just a little snow...if i buy snow tires how much of a difference is it going to make? do you feel as tho it would be worth the buy?

I'm in northern Ontario Canada and have driven through the winters here in a lowered E46 M3 with winter tires and now I do it in a lowered E90 335i with winters, that should answer your question, also if you search for this, there are countless threads about winter tires.

You're kidding right? Why would anyone bother searching for themselves when they can have the Forum members do it for them?

The diffrence in grip between all season tires and dedicated winter tires is so big that its hard to describe in words.
Its a heck of alot better buy then a new sporty sounding muffler, thats for sure

I use Michelin X-ice North studded 205/65R16 91Q tires on my 320d and i havent had any issues at all this winter. Not sure you guys can get studded tires..
Nokian Hakkapellitta R tires are probably the best non-studded right now, even if Continental, Michelin and Bridgestone all have good results in
tests over here in Europe (Snow and ice is snow and ice everywhere I guess)

You're in Indiana... you should be fine with studless tires. I've gone studded in the past and it is better traction on the 2-3 days a year you're in heavy snow, but the performance snow tires are good on our cars. Well I can't speak for everyone so go with what you think is best.
