Service engine light?
So i just bought a 08 e92 335i about a month ago and my right tail lamp is malfunctioning according to my onboard computer and a light randomly popped on that says service engine soon. I shouldn't need to do a service already, is the light indicating somethings wrong?

Check engine light means there is an emmision related issue with the car. The tail light out messege is just that. Just compare the 2 sides for which has a light out. Just simple bulb change for that. Car should be under warranty for the engine light (dont know your milage).

You could try getting a code reader to find out what caused the SEL without going to shop. SEL diagnosis should be free under warranty, though the fix itself may not.
