So i took my car into bmw yesterday and the sa told me he will call me and let me know what was wrong with the car. so i get the call and he says we going to need more time to work on the car cause its getting worked on and he will call me today. Today i get the call and he says they cant find the problem with the loss of power and they will need the car for another day. you guys think this is b.s?

I had the same situation when my car had SES light and stuttering.. I was thinking "why not just replace the HPFP and be done with it", but turns out it was the injectors. They kept saying 1 more day and it took 6. But the car has been great since I got it back.

in a way, you should be glad they are willing to keep your car for another day, rather than send it back to you and say "no problem" found. they did give you a loaner?

Assuming they gave you a loaner, I would let them keep until they fix the problem. I had my e93 brought in last week to replace the exhaust valves for ticking noise. Dealer said they fixed but needed to keep overnight to make sure no noise on cold start up. Told me afterwards noise is still there so they are replacing the cylinder head this week (all under warranty). Would've been a pain if I had rushed them to get the car back to me.
