How did your x-drive fare today?
My brother said in New England he saw many BMW's stuck, incl. one woman whose X5 was totally stuck yet she kept flooring the vehicle as if that would help....wtf is a Raptor? said the cops were cruising with them on unplowed side streets...

My 335xi e92 had no problems at all this winter. I'm using the new stock A/S RFTs as winter tires, since they're so new. Really have been pleased.
I spent one winter with Potenzas on a RWD G8GT (don't ask, crazy times), so anything is a step up from that. I'm overall very pleased with the 335xi. I'm curious how dry weather will be when I swap to 19" summers. Hope it's just as fun. I'll have to bite the bullet and lower it when the 19"s go on tho... |

Raptor is probably a snowmobile. And I don't have an xi, but I imagine someone with an xi with snow tires (not all seasons) had no problems. I never had any problems in my AWD 3000GT with snows.

Raptor is the new SVT truck from Ford. Thing is insane.
My XI has been flawless all season, even with the stock contiprocontacts. I can't wait to wear them out so I can experience the dedicated snows though.

Must be that prudent drivers with 4 snows would do ok, at least that's what I've always thought. Let's see what our friends from Chicago report tomorrow. One of my colleagues said they are expecting 2' when it's done. That would tell me to leave the BMW in the garage!

My e92 x drive with blizzaks has been amazing. I have had no issues this winter (and it been lots of snow and ice this year so far in NY), knock on wood.

Ironically I got a 328xi 4 door as a loaner this morning. It was money. No sliding and great traction. I was very impressed. Let's see how it does with even more icy roads tomorrow morning.

My e90 328xi was a champ in KC's blizzard today with Dunlop winter Sport 3Ds. I'm also glad I didn't lower my car yet, I was plowing snow at stock height!

In STL with my RWD 335 with the stock RFT Potenzas in the back and some Potenzas Sports up front. Drove around with traction control off just fine. If I didn't have the girlfriend with me I would have played a lot more. I am really impressed with how it handled in the ice.

2011 328xi w/ stock 17" with Conti RFTs All Seasons. No trouble at all in or out on my 30 mile commute. Highway in, backroads home, some unplowed or lightly plowed roads. Very predictable handling and stopping. Very pleased overall, I see no need for dedicated snows for my use... Wife's X5 travelled in similar conditions with similar results...

Opps, my bad. The yamaha raptor is an ATV, the Rhino is their side-by-side.
I doubt the PD would buy Ford Raptors for foul weather deployment. Would be cool though, I love the SVT Raptor. |

No issues in my e90 335xi, running Dunlop Winter Sports on 17's, even lowered on K&W V1's

Never understood this either. When you factor in the cost of winter tires and the miles you save on your other set, it is close to even. Why even risk driving without snows. Guess everyone is entiltled to their own opinion but never made any sense to me
